Negreanu berates Mohegan Sun texting rules

2010-04-08 16:56:39

Daniel Negreanu has called rules regarding technology at the Mohegan Sun casino's poker tables "archaic" and "stupid".

Writing for his official blog, the Canadian claimed he preferred the Connecticut-based venue to the Foxwoods gambling establishment, but admitted he despised texting regulations.

"It's ok to stand and text, but you can't sit at the table and text," he exclaimed. "If a player is out of a hand he shouldn't have to look out for floor men."

According to the four-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner, the casino should follow standards set by other places and only forbid mobile phone use while some is actually involved in a pot.

Being told off in this manner is like being back at school, he explained, adding that he felt sorry for floor managers who have to enforce the rules.

Negreanu recently claimed he is putting more effort into online poker in order to improve this part of his game.
