Tony G 'disappointed' at Isildur1 Big Game pullout

2010-04-12 15:49:42

Tony G has stated he feels let down that Isildur1 will not be taking part in PartyPoker's Big Game television show.

Writing for his official blog, the Australia-based card shark said he and the programme's organisers have made a number of concessions to encourage the mystery Swede to take part.

Despite playing frequently at high-stakes no-limit Texas hold'em and Omaha cash tables online, Isildur1's identity is not as yet known and Tony G noted that he offered to pay half of the anonymous gamer's stake to get him to play.

"I got [an] SMS from [Isildur1 saying] 'sry for not coming, take care bud'," he stated. "I have been bluffed before but I was counting on Isi to be there."

According to the outspoken pro, it is "disappointing" that the internet phenomenon will not be showing his face.

Fellow professional Howard Lederer once refused to shake Tony G's hand at a World Poker Tour event in France because of the latter's trash talking at the table.
