Phil Galfond: Isildur1 is a great player

Phil Galfond has praised internet poker phenomenon Isildur1 for being excellent at the game.In an interview with Poker Player magazine, he described the anonymous online pro as being "a great player", despite "huge swings" in form.
Galfond, whose net moniker is 'OMGClayAiken', said: "I don't think you can read too much into him winning $6 million and then losing it all."
According to the card shark, this is because Isildur1 was competing at such high stakes and against such difficult opponents that it would be difficult to maintain a hot streak.
Asked whether the mystery Swede should have quit while ahead, Galfond said it is obvious that Isildur1 does not have that kind of mentality.
Many people would sit on the kind of money Isildur1 has won, he added, but the unidentified poker player loves the competition.
Isildur1 recently pulled out of a planned appearance on PartyPoker's Big Game television show.
