Annie Duke releases iPhone poker app

2010-04-16 15:13:17

Professional poker player Annie Duke has launched a new application for the iPhone, which is designed to improve users' skills at the table.

According to Bluff Europe magazine, the program has a number of features, including cartoon versions of popular pros, a tip of the day, a rulebook and a Texas hold'em odds calculator.

Entitled Annie Duke's Poker Tutor, the app also integrates a glossary of the game's most common terms and a list of freeroll events.

The news provider noted that additional functions are currently being explored, with future versions expected to have Omaha odds and video advice from Duke.

Speaking to Poker News Daily, Duke said: "There aren't many apps about learning poker, so we decided we'd do something about that, but it also provides other forms of value."

Earlier this year, she won the NBC Heads Up Championship after defeating fellow pro Erik Seidel in the final.
