World Poker Tour expands French offerings

The World Poker Tour (WPT) has announced it will be adding another leg to its offerings in France.According to the popular poker tournament series, it will be working alongside Casino Municipal D'Amneville to provide a range of events later this year.
It noted that land-based qualifiers and side games will culminate in a €3,200 ($4,328) + €300 main event running from November 2nd to November 6th.
Commenting on the move, Christophe Schanne, general manager of the Casino of Amneville said his establishment is "at the perfect crossroads" for European competitors.
It has "close proximity to Luxembourg, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands", he explained, adding that he and his venue are proud to be hosting the competition.
The main event winner will secure not only a first-place cash prize, but a WPT title and bracelet, alongside a ticket into the WPT World Championship at the Bellagio.
Previously, the French leg of the tour only took place at the Aviation Club casino.
