Chris Klodnicki does not regret choosing poker for a living

2010-04-23 12:58:28

A New Jersey native has revealed that choosing poker as his career path is working out fine for him.

Chris Klodnicki has amassed earnings of $1.5 million since he turned professional in 2007, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

He has made the final table on two major poker tournaments in the last six weeks, including a second place at the East Coast Championship Borgata event.

Klodnicki told the paper: "At school, when everyone was starting their internships, I decided to give poker a shot."

With a finance degree from LeHigh University, many expected him to go in a different direction, but he is happy with his decision.

The news provider noted that he is going to the World Series of Poker, where his strategy will be to play speciality tables such as Razz.

He heralds from the same place as Phil Ivey, who it was recently revealed is to get a room in the Aria Resort and Casino named after him.
