Kansas to get state-owned casino?

A state-owned casino may be coming to Kansas as the region's lottery commission is meeting to decide whether to approve plans for the creation of one.Under Kansas law, the gambling and gaming equipment would be owned by the organisation.
Chisholm Creek was initially meant to be building the venture, but they withdrew their application after stating that they needed more time.
If the proposals are accepted, potential suitors will have 90 days to submit applications to construct the casino near Mulvane.
Casino Gambling Web stated: "The Commission [will] take … bids and decide which would be most beneficial to the state and the local area where the casino would be built."
The news comes after it was announced that a new underground gambling establishment will be opening in West Virginia.
According to the Associated Press, the Greenbrier resort is being constructed after a vote in the state backed the plans by the narrowest of margins, 51 per cent to 49 per cent.
