Andrew Mylott issues WSOP gold ring challenge

2010-04-28 17:07:31

Andrew Mylott has issued a challenge to Dwyte Pilgrim, claiming he is going to overtake him.

Mylott picked up his first ever gold ring for winning a World Series of Poker (WSOP) Circuit event in Las Vegas and immediately set his sights on Pilgrim, the only three-time champion.

"I'm going to catch up to your rings, kid. The rings are going to be all over my fingers," he said.

He bested 161 other competitors to win the poker tournament and take home a prize of $20,820.

Mylott remarked that it is "really cool to win here", referring to something that happened to him a year previosuly.

He had come within a whisker of winning a hand that would have given him the chip lead with only five players left in a WSOP event.

Paul Alterman also recently lifted his first crown in the series after coming out on top in an all English final.
