Max Lykov is the EPT Player of the Year

Max Lykov has been named as the European Poker Tour (EPT) Player of the Year.The 22-year-old Russian lifted the crown after the completion of the EPT Grand Final a lead he had coming into the poker tournament.
He won the opening leg of the circuit in Kiev, while he also cashed at Snowfest and at the Grand Final, which proved to be enough for him.
EPT Berlin champion Kevin MacPhee won the Players' Choice Award, and said: "I feel awesome about winning this because I'm American and this is the [EPT]."
He added that he had made "a lot of good friends" and to be voted as the champion felt "really special".
William Thorson took the Omaha Award after he dominated these events in, winning two of them.
All the individual award winners receive a prize package - hotel accommodation and main event buy-in - for the first event of EPT season seven, which starts in Estonia.
