Tony G: I'm back to my best

2010-05-10 12:43:32

Tony G has warned the poker community that he is back to his "brutal best" in cash games.

The Australian, writing in his official blog, noted that he has been facing Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Doyle Brunson, and Phil Laak as part of a show to be televised in June.

He praised the addition of a "loose cannon" to the poker tournament, who is staked to appear but only gets to keep what he wins.

"The home viewer has someone to relate to as they watch the cannon fire up his game," the card sharp added.

Phil Hellmuth was picked out for a special mention by Tony G, who remarked that he had been completely outclassed.

Due to the quality of his performances, he is now full of confidence and fired out a warning shot, saying: "Bring me the big-name pros and I will crush them one by one."

According to the card shark, Viktor Blom has the potential to go a long way in the sport if he takes on board advice given to him.
