Daniel Negreanu 'takes down durrrr'

2010-05-11 16:30:43

Tom 'durrrr' Dwan lost a lot of chips to Daniel Negreanu after coming out on the wrong side of a "hero call".

According to Poker News, the 23-year-old online player went toe-to-toe with Kid Poker in the latest episode of High Stakes Poker.

On the big blind and holding nine-five suited, he called Negreanu's king-ten suited.

The flop brought seven-seven-three, which saw Dwan bet $10,700 and Negreanu decided to continue with the hand.

He was immediately rewarded for the move as he hit a king on the turn and then a queen emerged on the river, giving him top pair to Dwan's nine high.

After Negreanu staked $28,200 on his kings, durrrr rationalized that he was bluffing and had missed out on a straight draw.

He called, they turned their cards over and Dwan exclaimed: "I guess my call is terrible then, if you can float that. I made one of them hero calls."

Bluff Magazine recently reported the young American is in a bad run of form, as he shipped $3 million in seven days.
