Debut win on WSOPC for Ryan Eriquezzo

2010-05-11 13:43:40

Ryan Eriquezzo lifted his first World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) gold ring after coming out on top in the opening event at Harrah's New Orleans.

The final stop on the WSOPC tour, the $300 (+$40) buy-in no-limit hold'em poker tournament was played over consecutive days, with 55 competitors cashing.

Once play had reached the final table, it became something of a two-horse race as Eriquezzo and Danny Lee were way ahead in terms of chips.

After besting Lee in heads up play, Eriquezzo took home $34,656, which takes the 25-year-old's career winnings to over $200,000.

It was the card sharp's eighth cash of an already productive 2010, but it was his first time in a WSOP-related competition.

Lee, who collected $21,948 for coming second, produced a magnificent run in what was his debut on the circuit.

Andrew Lichtenberger recently won the main event at the Las Vegas arm of the WSOPC.
