Daniel Negreanu 'wants WSOP rebuys outlawed'

2010-05-18 12:23:05

Daniel Negreanu does not believe that rebuys should be allowed at the World Series of Poker (WSOP).

The Canadian, who has four WSOP bracelets to his name, revealed in his Full Contact Poker blog that they should not happen in the "Holy Grail of tournaments".

Kid Poker admitted that such a move will damage him in the long run, as his primary goal is making history and not money when it comes to the big poker tournaments.

"These events skew history by allowing guys like me, or Ivey, or whoever will rebuy like madmen, a better opportunity to win," he added.

Because of this, Negreanu fully supports getting rid of them, regardless of the effect it will have on the big players.

The card sharp recently revealed that he has been spending a lot of time on his online poker game, as he tries to continually improve the overall standard of his play.
