Theo Jorgensen wins WPT Paris

Theo Jorgensen has been crowned the victor at the World Poker Tour (WPT) Grand Prix de Paris.He scooped a jackpot of nearly €640,000 ($780,000) as a result, which means he adds the prestigious title to his World Series of Poker Europe bracelet.
Once play had reached the heads up stage, the final standings were never really in doubt as Jorgensen held a ten to one chip advantage over local favourite Antony Amourette.
A crucial pot against the eventual runner up had allowed Jorgensen to double up after his kings prevailed over Amourette's sevens.
According to the WPT: "It was fitting that the trophy given to Jorgensen was a globe. The man who has just won the world was given the world as a result."
The final table consisted of eight players this time around, which is a departure from the recent structure being employed by the organizers, which has seen only six competitors take their place.
