Tony G wants WSOP $50,000 crown

2010-05-21 11:55:14

Tony G is firmly concentrated on winning the World Series of Poker (WSOP) $50,000 event.

Writing in his official blog, the card sharp noted that he is camped in Las Vegas as he prepares for the tournament.

"After [the $50,000 game] I'll decide if I'm staying longer in Vegas or taking a trip to parts unknown for a while," he said

The Australian remarked that if he does choose to leave Nevada, he will return to participate in something.

He has just finished playing in the World Team Poker contest, an innovative idea that saw players grouped into teams along national affiliations.

The Chinese side emerged victorious from it and Tony G observed it is a good result for the larger community, as a second upsurge in online poker is needed.

Luke Schwartz, one of the up-and-coming players on the circuit, has been compared to Tong G because of his abrasive table style.
