Players make deal on WSOP Circuit

2010-05-25 16:57:21

A poker tournament has been decided by a three-way handshake after the players did a deal.

It took place at the World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOP) New Orleans event, as the final table drew to an abrupt close.

Ricky McGowan, Tony 'Tekk' Seunsom and Gene 'Timberrrr' Timberlake all came to arrangement that saw them split the prize pot.

For the record, it was McGowan who took the gold ring and is officially recorded as the victor.

Both second and third place decided that because of the chip situation, they would be better placed cutting a deal rather than going for the glory of the win.

It was the 16th of 19 competitions taking place at the venue, which will be the last stop for the circuit as the WSOP is due to start on Thursday (May 27th).

One person who did win outright was Ronnie Hoover, with the 59-year-old collecting nearly $24,000 for his efforts.
