Tom 'durrrr' Dwan chasing WSOP side bet glory

2010-06-04 17:07:11

Tom 'durrrr' Dwan has revealed that winning a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet will give him the biggest pay day of his life to date.

The American, who has won and lost millions of dollars so far in live and online poker, will take home a lot more from side bets rather than his prize money, Poker News reports.

While in 2009 Dwan was only interested in the high-stakes games taking place at the Bellagio, this time around he has been entering a number of lower buy-in poker tournaments.

He said: "Since I have bracelet bets I'm still gonna play and just hope I win."

It comes a year after it was widely reported Phil Ivey lifted a substantial amount of cash from his fellow card sharps after he won two events.

Dwan is famous for his mammoth poker sessions with the likes of Patrik Antonius and the aforementioned Ivey.
