29th November
Today saw the first of a series of extreme poker tournaments that will be hosted by InterPoker over the coming months – the Deep Water Series of Poker (DWSOP). The day started at 8am where Poker Pros Jenna James, Juha Helppi, joined Poker Afficionado Andy Goetsch for some Scuba diving training from the friendliest divers on the island at Kenneth’s Dive Centre.

Then back to the Marriot Hotel for a quick bite to eat, and we were joined by InterPoker players Peter Marcus, and Louise Halle, along with Phill ‘The Unabomber’ Laak.
Then on to the Catamaran and out to the dive site to lower the table, cards, chips and players to 10m to play the world’s first Underwater Poker tournament.

Play was fast and furious, with players being eliminated if they ran out of chips, ran out of air, or had to surface.

Eventually InterPoker’s sponsored professional Juha Helppi emerged victorious from this unique poker event to claim the title of best underwater poker player in the world.

Once we had done with the day’s extreme poker we attended the InterPoker Welcome party for all the 60 InterPoker qualifiers and their guests, along with special guests Phil Laak, Jeniffer Tilly, Kathy Liebert, Rob Varkonyi and Juha Helppi.

27th November
Another two Designer Watch Free-Rolls (Pot Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha) saw InterPoker player CHICAGO7 running between final tables in an effort to secure the much sought after time pieces. However today was not his day, better luck tomorrow CHICAGO7!!

In the afternoon the 24 / 7 poker action continued with the InterPoker $5000 Free-Roll event. InterPoker’s professional Poker player Kathy Liebert taking on all comers. In the end stokker1 took the first place and $1100, along with the right to represent InterPoker in the Poker Room Pride event against the other Cryptologic licensees. Joining him in the No Limit Hold’em shootout is InterPoker favorite CHICAGO7, Safrican and 2002 WSOP Champion Rob Varkonyi.

In the afternoon our player could relax on a Catamaran cruise, a trip to the Monkey Bar at Turtle beach or a Tropical Rain forest hike.
28th

Another sunny day in the Caribbean and the poker action is as hot as the weather. The main tournament action today is the $500 No Limit Hold’em event. After a grueling 5 hours of play InterPoker Pro Kathy Liebert emerged victorious from a field of 128 players, scooping a nice prize fund of $23,600.

26th November
Our first full day in the Caribbean dawned to a sunny sky and soaring temperatures. The poker action started immediately with two designer watch free-rolls (7 Card Stud and Limit Hold’em) being played in the morning. Flying the InterPoker colours were Epic44 and the unstoppable CHICAGO7, who was playing in the first of an amazing 5 Designer Watch Free-Roll Final Tables.

More poker action was available for those who wanted, while a tour of the historic island was also on the cards, including stops at the Brimstone Hill Fortress – a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the famous Botanical Gardens. Then back to the Marriott Hotel for more Hot Poker Action!!

25th November
Welcome to the Caribbean Poker Classic. We started our poker odyssey at Gatwick Airport in the city of London, England. Cryptologic has chartered a jet to take us to the tropical island of St Kitts where the second annual Caribbean Poker Classic is taking place.

Onboard we were entertained playing Indian Poker, Liars Poker, and Steel Wheel for one dollar bills – low stakes poker at high altitude.

On arrival in St Kitts we were greeted at the airport by a steel band and a cold beer to be whisked away to the Marriott Resort and Royal Beach Casino. We checked in to find our bags waiting in our rooms for us, and then on to welcome party for snacks and drinks before the first of the Super Satellites for the Main Event took place.
